B.L.A.C.K. (Bases Loaded Authentic Clothing and Kaps)

About

Originally B.L.A.C.K (Bases Loaded Authentic Clothing and Kaps) started as a company focused on manufacturing and selling Negro League Baseball apparel.

Originally B.L.A.C.K (Bases Loaded Authentic Clothing and Kaps) started as a company focused on manufacturing and selling Negro League Baseball apparel. We have now grown to include the Tuskegee Airmen and Buffalo Soldiers, gotten licensing for the Triple Nickles and 761st Tank Battalion, and Kim also makes black baby dolls. We sell black apparel and memorabilia to help to promote black history and raise money for and awareness of black historical museums across the country. We also raise money for the surviving black history makers.

The company started in the summer of 1998. We started as a 6 cap and 4 t-shirt design company that focused on producing high quality product because we noticed that most black history merchandise was of cheap quality. We felt that as rich as the history of black people is, we should match that richness with high quality product. We now have over 64 caps and 28 shirt designs. We started selling our product to family and friends, then to coworkers at our jobs, and eventually across the country at festivals, conventions, churches and athletic events. Our goal has remained the same from the start: Produce a high quality of product that matches the richness of our history. One of our early slogans was we do this for “The brothers that played but never got paid”. This was for the Negro League players that never received the respect and recognition that was given to the major league players.
